How does it work?
Here you can find detailed information on how it exactly works:
Starting at the text entry page as shown in the picture below, if you click on "edit" you will see the controls. Here is a description of what they do:
- edit/hide controls
will display the text as others will see it or show you the options of saving and so on as listed below - Old password
Enter the password you used to save the text. This is the verification it is your text so you have to provide the password you entered when saving last time. This will be automatically done for you if you use the edit link (see below) - New password
Here you can optionally provide a new password used to make sure only you can change the text.
Leaving it blank keeps the old password.
Click generate to automatically generate a password for you. - Viewing password
you can use to prevent people from reading your message.
People either need a link in with the password included or need to type it themselves.
Leaving this field empty will make your text public
- Search tags
Here you can provide words that will allow people to search for your text.
If you leave it empty, the title will be automatically used. - Links to your text
Here you can find two links:
If you saved your text you will see the link you can use to change it later. Make sure you store this link somewhere or you know the password otherwise you will not be able to edit your text again. If you provided a viewing password you will also see a link that already includes so you can share it with the people allowed to read your text. - Save
will save your text - Show
,as displayed when the correct viewing password is not provided, will allow you to enter the correct viewing password and show the text.
